The Worthington Women’s Club of Ohio has played a vital role in the community we call home since 1932. The goals of the organization are to promote friendship, encourage projects which benefit the community, and to facilitate activities that foster community among women. Today we are more than 270 members strong, and we look forward to meeting you.

Announcements:

After the presentation by Shirley Brooks-Jones at our September General Membership Meeting, several of our members have expressed an interest in attending the musical “Come From Away”, which is playing at the Ohio Theater on February 13th at 1:00 pm. Everyone would need to purchase their own tickets and arrange for their own transportation . You may decide to coordinate ordering tickets for your particular Interest Group using the WWC as your group name.  Anyone who is interested in going out to dinner with other ladies from the Worthington Women’s Club after the play, please contact Sandra Cornett who will be making a reservation for dinner.  Her number is 614-325-0008 or contact her at Sandra.cornett@yahoo.com. The presentation and musical tell the story of those stranded in Newfoundland after 09/11/2001. Shirley was a leader in that group.

WWC will return to business as usual for the 2021/2022 year. Members are welcome to bring visitors to all our meetings and luncheons. However we do request that you make reservations for yourself and your guests so we have a count for ordering deserts. If you plan to attend, please call or email Peggy Foster by Thursday before the meeting at pfoster62@sbcglobal.net or 614-395-2228.

For those not attending the general meeting, we will attempt to provide access using ZOOM. If interested send your email address to Karen German at kgerman@wowway.com.

We have a new life time member! At the March 23rd general meeting, Bonnie Michael was honored by Mona Deringer and Ellen Randall for 25 years of service following her Presidency for the year 1996/97. Click on her name for a picture.

Recently WWC was honored with an article in the Columbus Dispatch. Click HERE to read the article.
