Great Discussions is (surprise!) a book group. It meets 10 times over the year; the first Tuesday of the month except for July and December. Books are suggested by the members and then voted on, with the top vote-getters being put on the schedule for the following year. This procedure certainly does not guarantee that everyone loves, or even likes, all the books we read, but we have never come to fisticuffs over our differences of opinion. All the members generously take turns hosting, and deliciously feeding, the group in their homes.
A few of the books chosen for the 2026 – 2027 season are Culpability by Bruce Holsinger, The Perfect Predator by Stephanie Strathdee, and The House is on Fire by Rachel Beanland.
